More Extensive than Last Year, This is Lion Air's Readiness to Support Global Hajj Operations

JAKARTA - Lion Air is further strengthening its position in the global air transportation arena by strengthening support for the 1447 Hijriah/2026 Hajj flight operations. This year, Lion Air is actively involved in an international network connecting 52 airports in various countries, significantly increasing from 47 airports in the previous year.

Lion Group's Corporate Communications Strategic, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, stated that this expansion is a tangible proof of the airline's commitment to supporting the mobility of the world's hajj pilgrims while strengthening global connectivity.

Global Synergy with Flynas

Through operational cooperation with the Saudi Arabian airline, flynas, Lion Air is involved in an air transportation system that serves the movement of pilgrims from the African region, Central Asia, South Asia, to the Middle East.

"The presence of Lion Air in this network provides added value in the form of cross-country operational experience and strengthening the standards of national private airline services at the global level," said Danang.

To ensure comfort and punctuality (On-Time Performance), Lion Air has prepared a comprehensive strategy, including:

Flagship Fleet: Prepare 7 Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft with a capacity of up to 440 economy class seats, ideal for long-distance flights. Trained Human Resources: Deploy 352 professional personnel consisting of: 42 Captain Pilots & 21 Co-Pilots. 210 Cabin Crew (Flight Attendants). 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. Operational Officers (FOO) and ground services (Ground Personnel).

Safety and Operational Smoothness Standards

In order to ensure the smooth running of the congregation, Lion Air implements periodic technical checks of the aircraft, flexible fleet scheduling, and the placement of backup crews. Active coordination with international aviation authorities is also being improved.

Although serving pilgrims from various countries, this participation has a strategic impact for Indonesia. The experience of handling this large scale enriches the airline's competence in improving the quality of services for pilgrims in the future.

"We are grateful to all operational partners and stakeholders for the synergy that has been established. Our focus is to provide a safe, comfortable, and peaceful journey for all pilgrims," concluded Danang.
