Pezeshkian warns another war would not benefit Iran, US or Israel
JAKARTA - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that an ongoing war in the Middle East would not benefit Iran, the US, or Israel.
"Right now we are trying to manage this difficult situation wisely, carefully, and maintain national dignity," he said on Monday, April 20, quoted from The Telegraph.
Pezeshkian also acknowledged that Iran faces significant economic challenges after the war.
He added that realistic planning would be the main consideration when the war ended.
"Of course, after the end of the battle, the country will face challenges in reconstruction, securing financial resources, and market control," said Pezeshkian.
However, Pezeshkian stated that overcoming the war in the Middle East, which began with the joint US-Israeli attack on Iran starting on February 28, requires active public participation and not based on coercion.
