Appreciation for Prestige Participants, Prudential Syariah Holds Exclusive Halalbihalal and Early Detection of Cancer Education

JAKARTA - Interpreting the celebration of four years of travel in Indonesia, PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah) held an exclusive customer gathering and Halal Bihalal as a form of appreciation for the trust of Participants, especially Prestige Participants who have been loyal to Prudential Syariah. Carrying the theme "Maintaining the Main Trust: Healthy, Family, and Future", this activity is a closer and sustainable interaction space, presenting relevant education for Indonesian families.

Prestige by Prudential is an exclusive priority service for high-profile participants that provides comprehensive protection, investment solutions, and personal assistance according to the needs of participants. The criteria for Prestige Participants can be obtained through the accumulation of contributions paid over the past 12 months, a minimum of IDR 500 million or an accumulation of a minimum Basic Death Benefit of IDR 10 billion. Through this service, Prestige Participants receive various privileges, such as underwriting and policy service priorities, VIP service facilities at hospitals, special customer care services.

As a form of appreciation, Prestige Participants are also entitled to benefits such as Medical Check-Up (once every two years), Birthday Gift (every year after becoming a Prestige participant), and invitations to various exclusive events organized by Prudential Syariah including this customer gathering activity.

Vivin Arbianti Gautama, Chief Customer Marketing Officer of Prudential Syariah, said that the trust of Participants is a trust that must always be maintained.

"Through this exclusive customer gathering, we express our appreciation, especially to the Prestige Participants, while presenting services that are more personal and relevant. In the last four years, Prudential Syariah has continued to grow to be trusted as the market leader for sharia life insurance in Indonesia and protecting almost 300 thousand families. In the future, we will continue to strengthen service innovation according to the needs of Indonesian families," he said in a written statement, Monday, April 20.

On this occasion, Prudential Syariah presents an educational session entitled "Why is Cancer Often Found Late?" with Dr. Tang Weng Heng, Consultant of Clinical Oncologist from Island Hospital Malaysia. This session invites participants to understand that cancer can develop with minimal symptoms in the early stages, so that routine health checks are a simple but important step to increase the chances of early detection.

Cancer is still one of the diseases that cause the largest number of deaths in Indonesia. Based on data from the Ministry of Health 2025, the number of cancer cases in Indonesia continues to increase and is predicted to jump more than 70 percent by 2050 if prevention and early detection measures are not strengthened. Currently, around 400 thousand new cases of cancer are detected every year, with a death toll of 240 thousand cases.

On the other hand, the biggest challenge comes from people's behavior. Based on the survey "Prudential Study - Indonesian Patient Voice: Caught between the Needs of Care, Costs, and Information Clarity", 9 out of 10 respondents (almost 93 percent) in Indonesia admitted to delaying treatment or seeking health services, and almost half (44 percent) said they repeatedly delayed treatment. This condition is at risk of worsening the disease as well as having an impact on significantly increasing the burden of treatment costs. Therefore, Prudential Syariah raises the importance of cancer prevention and early detection as the main focus of education.

As part of its commitment to providing protection solutions that are relevant to family needs, Prudential Syariah has PRUCritical Amanah, a comprehensive critical illness protection solution from the initial stage to the advanced stage. This product provides benefits from the initial stage (up to 25% or a maximum of IDR 1 billion), exemption from contributions after the initial stage claim is approved, and final benefits of membership up to 100% of Insurance Benefits at the age of 85.

Service strengthening is also carried out through an integrated ecosystem, including access to the PRUPriority Hospitals network which includes more than 1,700 hospitals, as well as the PRUServices digital service which makes it easier for Participants to access policy information and make claims practically.

"We interpret this Milad momentum as a reminder that maintaining health cannot be delayed and preparing for protection early. At the same time, we want to ensure that Participants, including Prestige Participants, feel the real benefits of the services we provide at every stage of their lives," concluded Vivin Arbianti Gautama.
