Samsung S23 Belonging to a Tourist from Germany Was Stolen in Pasar Baru

JAKARTA - A German tourist named Robin (26) became a victim of snatching in the Pasar Baru area, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, Sunday, April 19, 2026 afternoon.

Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Rahmat Himawan said the incident occurred at around 15.40 WIB in front of SD Santa Ursula Jakarta, Jalan Pos. At that time, the victim was standing by the side of the road while playing his cellphone and preparing to cross.

Suddenly, continued Rahmat, two unknown men who were riding motorbikes approached. One of the perpetrators immediately snatched the victim's mobile phone, a Samsung Galaxy S23, and fled.

"When the victim was about to cross while playing a cellphone on the side of the road, suddenly the cellphone was taken by the perpetrator who was riding a motorcycle," he said when confirmed, Monday, April 20, 2026.

The victim then reported the incident to the police. Currently, the Sawah Besar Police are still investigating to reveal the identity of the perpetrator.
