Polrestabes Bandung arrests perpetrator of murder in Cinambo kontrakan

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police have arrested the perpetrator of a murder at a rented house on Jalan Sandang, Cinambo District, Bandung City.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bandung Police AKBP Anton said the perpetrator had fled before he was finally arrested in Cirebon Regency on Sunday (19/4).

"It's true that he has been arrested," said Anton as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 20.

Anton explained that the victim was found dead allegedly due to persecution or stabbing in a rented house on Jalan Sandang, Sukamulya Village, Cinambo District on Friday (17/4).

A joint team from the West Java Regional Police, Bandung Regional Police, and Cinambo Police Criminal Investigation Unit then carried out a pursuit based on the clues obtained at the crime scene and witnesses.

Anton said the perpetrator was currently being taken to the Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit to undergo an examination.

"The perpetrator is known to be a man with the initials IS (43), a resident of Ujungberung, Bandung City and we are still investigating," he said.

Previously, the Bandung Police evacuated a man with the initials M (40) who was a victim of persecution in a rented house on Jalan Sandang, Cinambo District, Bandung City, early Friday.

The head of the Cinambo Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu Mulyana Winata, said his party had carried out an investigation of the crime scene and examined witnesses.

"There has been an incident of alleged acts of persecution or beating resulting in the death of the victim by an unknown person," said Mulyana when confirmed in Bandung.
