Find the MBG 'Melarat' Menu, You Can Report It Through the Jaga Desa Application

JAKARTA - The Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) of the Attorney General's Office, Reda Manthovani, said that the public could report the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program through the Jaksa Garda Desa (Village Guard) application.

Reda said that MBG beneficiaries could report directly on the products received, the report could be in the form of a photo to ensure that the food received was in accordance with the quality standards and per-serving budget.

"There is a link given to the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries are teachers and students. In the link they fill in videos or photos of the product. If it is stale, it is, say it is stale. 'Wow, this is less than Rp10 thousand,' approximately, 'Just rice and potatoes,' the photo," said Reda when attending the 2026 Village Guard Award in Jakarta, Sunday (19/4) evening as reported by ANTARA.

He explained that the Jaga Desa application is a digital innovation of the Attorney General's Office which is integrated with the Village Financial System (Siskeudes). According to him, through this application, the prosecutor's intelligence can monitor.

However, to recheck the truth of the report, the Attorney General's Office collaborated with the Association of Village Consultative Bodies (Abpednas). Abpednas members in villages will be empowered to monitor the location.

"If it is true, it means it is good. There is village financial management that is well monitored and verified. Then, there are developments, where there are products from the government, namely MBG," he said.

He explained that the scheme had already begun, such as in Pacitan, East Java. From public reports, the Prosecutor's Office investigated it and reported further to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) so that it could follow up on the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) concerned.

"There have been reports, for example in Pacitan, yesterday, the product is like this, ugly, all kinds. Report (report), we immediately remind the school and we also report to BGN to give sanctions to SPPG. The sanctions can be, first, maybe a reprimand. If that can also be suspended," said Reda.

He explained that the Jaga Desa application was implemented gradually and most villages on the island of Java had used it.

"But we have submitted almost all the links. So, hopefully it can be even," he said.

Head of BGN Dadan Hindayanayang who was also present at the event, said that Village Watch could add a means of monitoring the MBG program.

According to him, the Jaga Desa application is relevant to the MBG program because it allows various aspects of development in the village, including the use of funds derived from people's money, to be monitored digitally.

Dadan said that 93 percent of the BGN budget for MBG went into virtual accounts (virtualaccounts) of SPPG throughout Indonesia, the majority of which were in villages.

"With the cooperation of BGN with the Attorney General's Office, I think the supervision related to the use of funds in virtual accounts in each SPPG will be more intense," he said.
