Buy Satellite Internet Device, 2 Foreigners Arrested in Iran
JAKARTA - A total of two foreign nationals were arrested in northwest Iran, on charges of US-Israeli espionage activities.
The Tasnim news agency reported that the 2 foreigners were arrested on Sunday, April 19, along with 2 local residents after importing satellite internet equipment, such as Starlink, which is considered a crime in the midst of the Iran war.
Iran has been experiencing an almost total internet blackout for the past seven weeks since the massive US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28, 2026.
Since then, hundreds of Iranians have been arrested for being considered to have "cooperated with the enemy country".
