Support Prabowo Focus MBG for Families Who Can't Afford It, The Chairman of APKLI-P Urges KPK to Investigate BGN

JAKARTA - The Chairman of APKLI-P, dr. Ali Mahsun ATMO, M. Biomed, expressed full support for President Prabowo Subianto's move to focus on the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program for children with malnutrition and families who are unable to afford it.

However, at the same time, he urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to immediately investigate alleged corruption in the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Restore the Spirit of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program

President Prabowo's steps, conveyed through the Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik S. Deyang, are considered a pure (genuine) policy to restore the great mission of this flagship program. The MBG program aims to overcome stunting, produce Indonesia's golden generation, and boost the economy of small people with a target of adding 0.5% of national economic growth.

"We support President Prabowo's policy. We also urge that the MBG kitchen, which has proven to be 'nyogok' or does not meet the requirements, be closed immediately," said Ali Mahsun in Jakarta, Saturday (18/4/2026).

Ali also appreciated Nanik S. Deyang's steps which were actively carrying out spot inspections (sidak) in the field and found many MBG kitchens that were not suitable.

Alleged Corruption and Bad Smell in BGN RI

The General Chair of Bakornas LKMI PB HMI 1985-1998 highlighted various allegations of abuse of authority at the BGN RI. According to him, there were a number of procurements of goods with values that were considered unreasonable, including:

Procurement of 21,081 electric motor units at a price of around IDR 42 million per unit. 31 Event Organizer (EO) packages worth IDR 113.9 billion. Procurement of tableware at 315 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) worth IDR 215 billion. Procurement of 5,000 laptop units. Procurement of socks at a price of IDR 100 thousand per pair.

"The MBG budget comes from the state budget, which means it is state money and people's money. As President Prabowo said, every rupiah of state money must be accounted for," added the 2012-2015 PP IPNU Steering Council.

The demand for an investigation by the KPK

Ali Mahsun emphasized that the KPK must immediately intervene to inspect the BGN RI before the negative impact spreads. There are three main reasons why strict supervision is needed:

Maintaining the Marwah of Leadership: Allegations of corruption can tarnish the good name of the government of President Prabowo Subianto. Program Sustainability: This noble MBG program is threatened with failure if it is managed corruptly. Preventing Corruption: Ensuring MBG does not become a nest of "kongkalingkong" or an event for plundering the people's money.

"Don't let this program, which has a very noble goal, become a place for certain parties to 'bank'. Once again, I urge the KPK to immediately investigate the BGN RI," he concluded.
