Visit Akmil Magelang, President Prabowo Gives Instructions to the Chairman of the Indonesian DPRD

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto gave a briefing at the Regional Leadership Development Course (KPPD) of the Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) throughout Indonesia which was held at the Magelang Military Academy Complex, Central Java, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The KPPD event carries the theme "Strengthening the role of provincial/district/city DPRD leaders to support Asta Cita to welcome golden Indonesia 2045."

The event began with singing the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, which was followed by all participants. Furthermore, the activity continued with a report from the Governor of the National Resilience Agency (Lemhanas) of the Republic of Indonesia, TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily regarding the implementation and purpose of the 2026 KPPD.

"This KPPD has been going on for five days, Mr. President, from April 15 to tomorrow, April 19, 2026, at the Tidar Valley Military Academy in Magelang, where national leaders are forged and mobilized, attended by 503 DPRD Chairmen," said the Governor of Lemhanas.

After that, a documentary video of the KPPD activities was also shown, which described the learning process, leadership development, and the dynamics of interaction between participants during the program.

In his introductory remarks, President Prabowo said that the presence of the Head of State was based on consideration of the strategic role of the Chairman of the DPRD. This forum also became an opportunity for the President to convey his views directly to regional legislative leaders.

"After I found out that here are all the Chairmen of the DPRD throughout Indonesia, I think it is important and appropriate if I attend directly," said President Prabowo.

Not only as the Head of State, but President Prabowo spoke as a fellow citizen. The President highlighted the diversity of the participants' backgrounds, ranging from their place of origin, ethnicity, education, to political parties as a unifying force in the spirit of nationalism.

"As a child of the nation, today I want to speak from heart to heart, I want to speak as it is," said the Head of State.

"I argue that as a nation, as a patriot, because I came here, I met brothers with one assumption that we are all in this tent are patriots," he continued.

Through this forum, President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia's strength is not only determined at the center, but is based on solid, integrated, and people-oriented leadership in all regions.
