42 Tourism Destinations in Lebak to Grow Rural Economy

LEBAK - A total of 42 tourist destinations in Lebak Regency, Banten, are able to grow the economy of rural communities in the region and can absorb local labor.

The Head of the Lebak Regency Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) Yosep Muhamad Holis in Lebak, Saturday, said that the 42 tourist destinations were managed by the village community and were visited by many tourists, so that they were able to increase the village's economic income and absorb local labor.

Of the 42 tourist destinations that are in the top 10 favorites, namely the Sawarna Beach tourist area, Bagedur Beach, Legon Pari Beach tourism, Bedouin tourism, Wong Sagati tourism, Rangga Wulung tourism, Lebak Tipar Cave tourism, Tea Garden tourism, Negeri Above the Clouds tourism and Alam Tirta Hot Spring Tourism.

Until now, he said, the development of tourism has also provided welfare for the community, because micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that produce various handicrafts and food are quite developed.

In fact, the local government has established a center for trading handicrafts and various traditional foods at tourist locations as Lebak's typical souvenirs.

"We encourage community-managed tourist attractions to be able to develop and increase the local residents' economic income," he explained.

According to him, the local government continues to improve human resources (HR) for tourism management so that existing tourist destinations are looked at by foreign tourists.

The improvement of human resources needs to be prioritized, especially the operation of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road and the Rangkasbitung-Tanabang Commuter Line (KRL) train which has an increasing impact on tourist flows.

"We believe that through human resources, the governance will ensure that tourist destinations will be flooded with tourists," he said.

Meanwhile, Hilmi, a tourist from Bogor admitted that the Ranggawulung tourist attraction had natural pools formed by the flow of river water with clear and fresh water conditions and cold directly from the mountains.

Visitors here swim to enjoy the natural pool also surrounded by green trees, shady and the sound of soothing water.

The pool is not too deep, so it is safe for children and adults.

"We came here with our family to enjoy the original Ranggawulung tourist water from the mountains and it is very fresh and cold," said Hilmi.
