PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu is scheduled to visit Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono and Muhammadiyah Central Executive.
PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Al Habsy said his party wanted to hear input from national figures, Muslim scholars and scholars.
"We were happy yesterday that Ngarso Dalem Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X was pleased to attend the DIY PKS Regional Working Meeting and provide valuable input for PKS. That's why the PKS DPP wants sowan and kulonuwun to hear deeper input," said Aboe, Monday, June 7.
Some of the agendas that will be discussed in the National Gathering to DI Yogyakarta, he continued, are introducing the new PKS DPP board for the 2020-2025 period as well as the new PKS symbol, hymn and march.
"As Sri Sultan conveyed to PKS DIY friends, there is a spirit of openness. PKS has also held a national agenda in Yogyakarta several times with various cultural and national presentations that are closely related to the daily lives of Yogyakarta residents," he said.
After meeting with Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Syaikhu and the DPP management will visit the PP Muhammadiyah office to meet the General Chairperson of PP Muhammadiyah Prof Haedar Nashir and the ranks of PP Muhammadiyah.
"Alhamdulillah, the Central Executive of Muhammadiyah is pleased to receive us directly from the birthplace of Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta. We certainly want a lot of input from Islamic organizations whose role in this nation has been very large even before independence," concluded Aboe Bakar.
