BUMD Leaders Forum is a Strategic Step for the DKI Provincial Government to Strengthen the Jakarta Economic Pillar
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government encourages the strengthening of the role of regional business entities (BUMD) as an economic pillar through the BUMD Leaders Forum, Friday, April 17.
This forum, which was initiated by the BUMD Development Agency together with Bank Jakarta, brought together the ranks of BUMD commissioners and directors to align strategies amid global uncertainty.
The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, emphasized the importance of consolidating BUMD in the next year to strengthen competitiveness and business expansion.
"BUMD Jakarta is no longer just a local player. I hope that consolidation will be carried out so that the benefits will be greater for the Jakarta economy," said Pramono.
He also reminded of potential external pressures such as geopolitical dynamics and the threat of the El Nino phenomenon which is estimated to occur until September 2026.
In terms of strategy, this forum highlights the strengthening of financing through Bank Jakarta, as well as the optimization of project guarantees through Jamkrida Jakarta.
In the first quarter of 2026, Bank Jakarta has channeled credit facilities to three BUMD, including Perumda Dharma Jaya and Food Station Tjipinang.
In addition, asset optimization is the focus to create new sources of income, such as property development to wastewater and food processing infrastructure.
As a conclusion, the signing of a credit facility between PAM Jaya and Bank Jakarta was carried out, which is expected to strengthen the financing of strategic regional projects.
