Starting from Admiration, Ade Govinda Partners with Gloria Jessica for a Single Divided into Two

Ade Govinda again collaborates with local soloists, Gloria Jessica, for his latest song titled Terbelah Jadi Dua.

The idea of this collaboration actually had been in Ade's mind since 2017. At that time, he admitted that he was stunned when he first heard Gloria's vocals through the song "Dia Tak Cinta Kamu".

After going through various career journeys, the right momentum finally came in 2025, until this project was officially completed last April.

"Oh God, this person's voice and the way he sings are really good. The message is up to you," recalled Ade when he first admired Gloria's vocal quality.

The lyrics of "Terbelah Jadi Dua" raise the theme of betrayal in a romantic relationship. This song tells the pain of realizing that the person you love has divided your heart with someone else.

From a female perspective, this song carries a message about the importance of logic and firmness in the midst of a broken commitment.

Musically, Ade gives a different touch by using loop-based beats and minimizing the use of conventional drum instruments.

Not without reason, Ade emphasized, the mixing details on this song were specifically designed for the ears of the younger generation without losing the depth of emotion.

"You have to listen to 'Terbelah Jadi Dua' with earphones or headphones, because I want you to get the maximum experience of listening to this music," said the guitarist of Govinda.

The sadness in this song is further strengthened by the visualization of the music video directed by Bagoes Tresna. Featuring young stars such as Yasamin Jasem and Daffa Saputra, the music video is dominated by a blue color palette and dark tones.

Gloria Jessica was even made to shed tears spontaneously during the shooting process, because she felt that the story in the music video had similarities with her personal experiences in the past.

This single also serves as the opening track for Ade and Gloria's full collaboration album titled "Blue".

In addition to mellow songs, the upcoming album will also explore the genre of britpop. In its development, they were also assisted by Barsena Bestandhi who acted as vocal director.

"This album is an exploration of our idealistic side. In addition to mellow songs, there will be a strong britpop feel. We are no longer talking about 'selling', but about 'being ourselves'," added Ade.

Gloria Jessica hopes that her latest work can be a friend for those who are struggling to heal their hearts.

"Hopefully this song can approach and accompany those who listen. It can accompany in emptiness and sadness, but still there to remind you that everyone deserves to be loved completely," concluded Gloria.
