Yes, Rismon's Status in the Jokowi Diploma Case is No Longer a Suspect
JAKARTA - The status of suspect Rismon in the case of the alleged certificate of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was revoked after the request for settlement of the case through restorative justice (RJ) was approved by the reporter.
Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, said the RJ process began with the submission of a request from the suspect to the investigators.
"If the restorative justice mechanism has been passed, there is a stage of application from the suspect," he told reporters, Friday, April 17, 2026.
After the application was submitted, said Budi, investigators then asked for approval from the reporter. If approved, the next case will be discussed through a special case title to ensure that all conditions are met.
"After the request, it was further investigated, the reporter also agreed to carry out a special restorative justice case title mechanism," he said.
Budi said that from the results of the trial, the investigators decided to stop handling the case through a Letter of Order to Stop Investigation (SP3). With the issuance of SP3, Rismon is officially free from the status of a suspect in the case.
"After that, it meets the criteria in the legal mechanism, then the SP3 case is stopped. This means that the legal status of the suspect for RS brother has been revoked automatically," he concluded.
