Prabowo Forms Economic Growth Task Force

President Prabowo Subianto has formed a Task Force (Satgas) to accelerate the Government Program to support increased economic growth led by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto as Chairman I.

The formation of the task force was determined through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 4 of 2026 concerning the Government Program Acceleration Task Force to Support Economic Growth.

Quoted by ANTARA from the jdih.setneg.go.id website, Friday, April 17, in the policy, the task force is under and responsible to the President.

The task force has the task of coordinating the acceleration of the implementation of government programs to support increased economic growth, including the Economic Package Program, Economic Stimulus Program, Government Priority Program, Main Program in several ministries/institutions and other programs based on Presidential directives.

In addition, the task force is tasked with determining integrated and collaborative strategic steps in order to accelerate the implementation of government programs to support increased economic growth, monitoring and evaluating the realization of budget support for the implementation of government programs, and determining steps to resolve strategic problems that are groundbreaking quickly and appropriately.

"Determine the steps to quickly and appropriately resolve strategic problems that are groundbreaking in accelerating the implementation of government programs to support increased economic growth and carry out other tasks assigned by the President," the Presidential Decree reads.

The composition of the task force membership consists of Chairman I, namely Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Chairman II, namely Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi.

Vice Chairman I, namely Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Vice Chairman II, Minister of Investment and Industrialization/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani, and Vice Chairman III, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency Rachmat Pambudy.

The membership of the task force also involves 27 ministers and agency leaders, including Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency Dony Oskaria, National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, and Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana.

In carrying out its duties, the task force can form working groups and a secretariat. The secretariat is located at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and is tasked with providing technical and administrative support.

The Task Force can also coordinate with ministries/institutions, provincial regional governments, district/city regional governments, institutions, and other stakeholders.

The Task Force holds a coordination meeting at least once every two months or whenever necessary, and reports on the implementation of its duties to the President through the Chairman I periodically every six months or whenever necessary.

"All costs required in the implementation of the duties and functions of the Task Force are sourced from the State Budget for each ministry/institution and/or other legitimate sources in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations," the policy reads.

The Presidential Decree was issued by President Prabowo in Jakarta on March 11, 2026 and came into force on the date specified.
