Hajar Jakarta Electric PLN, Gresik Phonska Key to the 2026 Proliga Grand Final Ticket

JAKARTA - The Gresik Phonska Plus Pupuk Indonesia women's volleyball squad officially secured their place in the 2026 Proliga Grand Final after winning the duel against Jakarta Electric PLN Mobile in the last round of the Final Four.

Alessandro Lodi's squad stopped their opponents with a score of 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 18-25, and 25-19) in the first match of the last round of the Final Four at the Jatidiri GOR, Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, WIB night.

The result confirmed Phonska Plus' dominance throughout the season and eliminated the hope of the opposing team to advance to the next stage. This is their fourth victory from five matches that have been played in the Final Four.

Phonska immediately lowered his best composition from the very beginning. Arnetta Putri as the attack motor successfully pampered Medi Yoku and two foreign legions, Annie Mitchem and Oleksandra Bytsenko, so that they immediately took the lead 8-4 at the beginning of the first set.

On the other hand, Electric PLN, which relies on the duet of Kara Bajema and Neriman Ozsoy, had to fight back and narrow the gap to 8-9. However, the series of deadly serves from Bytsenko again took away Phonska's advantage to 14-10.

Although Ozsoy and his friends tried to press in the middle of the set, Phonska remained solid with a 20-15 lead. The first set was finally closed with a sharp attack from Anne Mitchem.

Jakarta Electric PLN then changed their strategy in the second set and played more aggressively so that they were leading 5-1. However, the calmness of Medi Yoku and his friends slowly managed to equalize the score to 8-8.

The action of chasing each other's numbers was very tight at 10-10 to 16-16. The crucial momentum occurred when entering the final points.

Phonska Plus, who were more disciplined in defending, finally managed to break free from the pressure and win to take a 2-0 lead.

Alessandro Lodi then decided to make a massive player rotation in the third set because his team had already secured the Grand Final ticket after winning two sets. Players like Putri Agustin, Bella Sabrina, and Ajeng were also given the opportunity to play.

The names performed well and were ahead at the start of the third set. However, the opposing team managed to turn the tide to 16-11 and continued their dominance to take the set.

Despite the lapse in the third set, Lodi still maintained his bench composition in the fourth set. On the other hand, Jakarta Electric PLN still appeared with full strength including the deadly duet of Ozsoy and Kara Bajema.

However, the confidence of the young Phonska players actually peaked. They were able to dampen the opponent's attack and were 16-9 ahead in the middle of the set, then performed consistently afterwards to lock in the victory.

The victory made Phonska strengthen their position at the top of the standings with 12 points. They were followed by Jakarta Pertamina Enduro (JPE) who occupied second place with nine points.

The two teams will meet in the last match of the final round. Their match will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 19.00 WIB.
