Fuel Prices Stable Until the End of the Year, Energy Minister Ensures Safe Energy Stocks
Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia emphasized that the national energy stock is in a safe condition and the price of fuel oil (BBM) remains stable.
This was conveyed after meeting President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, April 16. In fact, the government guarantees that subsidized fuel prices will not rise until the end of 2026.
Bahlil also said that the government would try to keep fuel prices below the market. Bahlil also conveyed that based on President Prabowo's instructions, the government had followed up on steps to secure national energy supplies, including ensuring the availability of crude oil for domestic needs until December 2026.
Furthermore, in addition to crude oil supplies, the government also ensures that national fuel and LPG stocks are above the minimum standard. According to Bahlil, this condition is the foundation for the government to maintain the stability of domestic energy prices, especially subsidized fuels.
Regarding strengthening long-term energy resilience, Bahlil also reported on the development of Indonesia's energy cooperation with Russia. According to him, Russia is ready to supply Indonesia's oil needs.
