Won the KWP Award 2026, Fraksi Chairman: Proof of Golkar Focus on Energy Sovereignty

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party faction in the DPR received an award as a faction that cares about strengthening energy sovereignty. The category was given by the Parliamentary Journalists Coordinating Board (KWP) in the KWP Award 2026 because the Golkar Faction was considered the most vocal in strengthening the sovereignty of the country's energy.

"First, thank you to the KWP. We were given two awards as a faction," said Chairman of the Golkar Party Faction in the House of Representatives, Muhammad Sarmuji, after receiving the award at the DPR building, Jakarta, Thursday, April 16.

Sarmuji said that the award reflects the focus and contribution of the Golkar Faction in national strategic issues, especially in the energy sector.

"We are given the award by a faction that cares about energy sovereignty," he said.

According to Sarmuji, the award received is proof that the work of the Parliament that has been carried out so far has been recognized by the public, especially through the assessment of Parliament journalists.

"Both are relevant and of course we feel honored by the award from KWB because this award reflects the work we have done in Parliament," he said.

For information, the KWP Award 2026 is a routine biennial agenda that carries the theme 'Guarding the Struggle, Appreciating Dedication: Together Creating a Golden Indonesia'. This event aims to objectively portray the performance of leaders and representatives of the people through press observation.

This year's event recorded more than 60 nominations for award recipients. For information, this award-giving tradition has been consistent, such as the KWP Awards 2021 led by Marlen Erikson Sitompul and the KWP Awards 2023 which were chaired by Ariawan together with Samrut Lellosima.

The implementation of the KWP Award 2026 also received broad support from a number of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and private companies that play a role in national development, including Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, GoTo, Astra, Hutama Karya, PLN, Taspen, Inalum, and others.

This support emphasizes the importance of collaboration between elements in realizing better state governance.

The KWP Award 2026 is not only a ceremony of awards, but also a reflection of the important role of parliament in encouraging strategic policies. Through this appreciation, it is hoped that legislators will be more encouraged to present policies that have a real impact on Indonesia's progress.
