Justin Bieber's Catalog Experiences a Surge after Coachella Appearance

JAKARTA - Justin Bieber's appearance as a headliner at Coachella 2026 managed to prove that the influence of the Canadian pop star has not faded.

His stage performance not only left a deep impression on the fans who attended in person, but also triggered a significant spike in the number of plays of his songs on various digital streaming platforms.

Based on the latest data, citing Variety, Bieber's performance managed to bring 21 of his songs into the Spotify Global Top 200 list - the highest achievement compared to other artists who performed at the festival.

The increase in Bieber's music consumption after his appearance at Coachella was recorded as massive. The 32-year-old singer immediately took the top spot in the Global Top Artist chart on Spotify after his music catalog surpassed 77 million streams in just one day.

The figure is the highest daily record for Bieber throughout 2026. Not only on Spotify, Apple Music also reported an increase of 80 percent in playing his song catalog on the same day.

This phenomenon is triggered by the combination of old hit songs and his latest material. The song "Beauty and a Beat" soared to the 3rd position, followed by "Baby" in 12th place, and "Daisies" in 16th place.

In the United States (US), the album "SWAG" experienced a surge in consumption of 80 percent over the past week and is predicted to be the album's most successful week this year.

On the US domestic charts, Bieber also placed 13 songs on Spotify's Daily Top Songs, including "Yukon" which climbed into the top 40.

This success is the fruit of the Coachella stage concept which has been widely discussed because of its minimalist and nostalgic approach. For 90 minutes, Bieber performed songs from the albums "Swag" and "Swag II", before switching to a more intimate session using a laptop and archival clips of his early career journey.

In a nostalgia segment that lasted almost 25 minutes, Bieber played back his viral moments from the past, including a childhood video where he crashed into a glass door, interspersed with songs such as "Favorite Girl" and "That Should Be Me".

The emotional approach was deemed effective in reconnecting the artist with his loyal fan base, the Beliebers.

After the success of the first week, Justin Bieber is scheduled to return to shake the main stage of Coachella on Saturday for the second week of Coachella.
