Pramono Soroti Regional Inequality, Directs RKPD 2027 Based on Equity

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung highlighted the still existing inequality in the achievement of development between regions in Jakarta. This was noted in the Regional Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) for the preparation of the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD).

This year's Musrenbang has the theme of transforming Jakarta as a global city with a focus on strengthening human resources, improving infrastructure, and developing a competitive and sustainable economy.

In the forum, Pramono assessed that the direction of Jakarta's development in the future could no longer be uniform. Planning must be based on regional conditions so that disparities can be suppressed.

"Such as economic growth, poverty rates, open unemployment rates, and the Human Development Index. This shows that the direction of future development must be based on regionalism and oriented towards equity," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, April 16.

He also said that, in general, Jakarta's development performance still shows a positive trend. A number of macro indicators have been assessed to be stable in recent times.

"In general, Jakarta's development performance shows a positive trend. This is reflected in the continued economic growth, controlled inflation, significant investment increases, and a decrease in unemployment and poverty rates," said Pramono.

Even so, the difference in achievement between regions is still considered a homework that must be completed in next year's planning.

Pramono asked all regional devices to strengthen coordination and ensure that development planning is more directed and has a real impact on the community.

"Hopefully, this effort will result in optimal development planning to realize Jakarta as a global city that is competitive, sustainable, and prosperous for its citizens," he explained.

In the process of preparing the 2027 RKPD, the DKI Provincial Government also gathered public aspirations. A total of 61,174 proposals were entered through Musrenbang, direct proposals, to the results of the DPRD recess.
