DKI DPRD Urges Pramono to Immediately Submit 13 Regional Regulations, Target 24 DKJ Regulations to Be Pursued This Year

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) urges the acceleration of the submission of 13 Regional Regulation Draft (Ranperda) which until now has not been submitted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

This step is considered crucial to pursue the target of completing 24 regulations regarding the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKJ) in 2026. Chairman of the Bapemperda Abdul Aziz emphasized that all regulations derived from the DKJ Law have deadlines that must be met.

"The most urgent thing that must be resolved is the DKJ Law. There are 15 great issues of trust that must be resolved which are contained in 24 decrees," Aziz told reporters, Thursday, April 16.

According to him, without acceleration of the submission from the executive, the discussion process in the DPRD has the potential to be stalled and interfere with the target for completion.

Bapemperda has also coordinated directly with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung to encourage this acceleration. He asked all levels of the Provincial Government to immediately complete the draft Ranperda which is still pending so that it can immediately enter the discussion stage.

"So that we can immediately propose to the Minister of Law and Human Rights regarding the DKJ Regulation," said Aziz.

Of the total 24 Perda which are the mandate of the DKJ Law, Bapemperda noted that three of them have been completed by 2025. The three are considered to have a direct impact on the community, ranging from the education sector to city planning.

"Freeing private schools. Then the regulation regarding utilities, tidying the cables that are scattered so that they enter the ground, the third is about the boundaries of the sub-district and sub-district," said Aziz.

Currently, eight other Ranperdas are still in the discussion stage. However, its continuation still depends on the submission of 13 Ranperdas that have not been submitted by the executive.

"Insyaallah we will complete eight more. Therefore, the remaining 13 (Raperda) we hope will be proposed by the governor to be discussed in the Bapemperda," he said.

To pursue the target, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources also intensified discussions by designating Tuesday as a special agenda for discussing the Regulation with regional devices.
