2.1 BPJS Re-activation Participants, Ministry of Social Affairs Gus Ipul: 1.4 Million Switch Aid to Local Government

Jakarta - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf conveyed the Ministry of Social data regarding BPJS Health participants who received Contribution Assistance (PBI). According to Gus Ipul, as many as 2.15 million people out of 11 million BPJS Health PBI participants have reactivated.

A total of 305,864 people have re-registered as participants in the Central Level Health Insurance (JK) PBI. This was conveyed by Gus Ipul in a working meeting with Commission IX of the DPR RI in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 15.

Then, as many as 1.4 million people switched segments to become recipients of local government assistance, 188,703 people became self-sufficient participants, and 57,287 people were recorded as civil servants/TNI/Polri, and 185,355 others were recorded as private/BUMN/BUMD retirees. Gus Ipul emphasized that this is proof of the government's commitment to provide opportunities for citizens to make data corrections.

Referring to the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN), residents who are BPJS Health PBI participants are those who fall into the desil 1 to 5 category. Gus Ipul said that the reactivation application can be made through the local social service, village apparatus, or other channels prepared by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin on that occasion also stated that BPJS Health PBI participants who were deactivated in February could still access health services for three months or until April.

At the same time, the government is validating data to ensure that the person actually meets the requirements or not.
