Strengthen National Vision, 478 DPRD Chairmen Attend Retreat in Magelang

MAGELANG - Hundreds of DPRD Chairmen from across Indonesia attended a national retreat at the Magelang Military Academy (Akmil) through the Regional Leadership Development Course (KPPD) program held by the National Resilience Institute.

A total of 478 participants have arrived from a total of 557 invitations, while the rest are still on the way. This activity will last for five days with a focus on leadership development and national insight.

Governor of Lemhannas TB Ace Hasan Syadzily said the KPPD program is part of a strategic effort to form regional leaders with a statesman character.

"The main objective of this activity is to form a DPRD leadership that has strong leadership, integrity, and is able to carry out a strategic role in the national government system," he said, Thursday, April 16.

He added that this activity had also been coordinated with President Prabowo Subianto who was also invited to attend.

The retreat held in the Military Academy environment is designed to instill patriotism and nationalism in the midst of global dynamics. Participants will receive training related to four national consensus, geopolitical issues, to the central government's strategic programs.

In addition, a number of state officials are scheduled to be speakers, including the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Environment, the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, and the head of the Corruption Eradication Commission who will provide material to strengthen integrity.

This program is also directed to support and monitor the national development agenda carried out by the government of President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Meanwhile, Governor Akmil Rano Tilaar stated that his party welcomed the implementation of the retreat as a form of synergy between central and regional leadership.

He hopes that this activity will be able to strengthen commitment, generate constructive ideas, and encourage policy synchronization towards the vision of Indonesia's Gold 2045.
