2.15 Million BPJS PBI Participants Active Again, 1.4 Million Switch to Regional Assistance
JAKARTA - Ministry of Social Data states that as many as 2.15 million people out of 11 million BPJS Health Participants who received Contribution Assistance (PBI) who had been deactivated have now reactivated. A total of 305,864 people have re-registered as participants in the Central Health Insurance (JK) PBI.
"Active again in the PBI JK segment there are 305,864 beneficiaries. So they are reactivated and become PBI participants again," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul in a working meeting with Commission IX of the DPR in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 15.
Then, as many as 1.4 million people switched segments to become recipients of local government assistance, 188,703 people became self-sufficient participants, and 57,287 people were recorded as civil servants/TNI/Polri, and 185,355 others were recorded as private/BUMN/BUMD retirees.
Gus Ipul emphasized that this is proof of the government's commitment to provide opportunities for citizens to make data corrections. Referring to the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN), citizens who are participants in the BPJS Health PBI are those who fall into the desil 1 to 5 category.
"Because basically we still give the opportunity for reactivation," he said.
He said that the submission of reactivation can be done through the local social service, village apparatus, or other channels prepared by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin on that occasion also stated that BPJS Health PBI participants who were deactivated in February could still access health services for three months or until April. At the same time, the government is validating data to ensure that the person really meets the requirements or not.
"So this (access to health services) can still be done, but in the next three months it is expected that there will be a refresh of data by friends at BPS and assisted by the Ministry of Social Affairs. So that the principle of justice has occurred," said Budi.
