Rismon Admits Not Receiving Rp50 Million in the Peace Process of the Allegation of Jokowi's Degree

Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar denied the news that he received money in the peace process related to the allegation of a fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

Rismon emphasized that the restorative justice (RJ) step taken was his personal initiative. He said the process started from the research he did himself.

"First I want to clarify the issues out there that I received billions, tens of billions, even called up to Rp50 billion. That's not true," said Rismon at the Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

According to Rismon, it is unreasonable for him to receive money after apologizing and receiving forgiveness from the party who was harmed. He instead felt that he was in a position that should provide compensation.

"Imagine, I apologize and am forgiven, but I am given money. Where is the logic?" he said.

Rismon also said that Joko Widodo and Gibran Rakabuming Raka did not demand material compensation in the process.

"Actually, I should have given compensation to Mr. Jokowi. But Mr. Jokowi and Mr. Gibran did not demand it in material terms," he concluded.
