Ganja Bandar in Depok Arrested by Polda Metro with 6.2 Kg of Evidence

JAKARTA - The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police arrested one suspect with the initials HF (37) who distributed marijuana narcotics with a total weight of 6.2 kilograms in the Depok City area, West Java.

Head of Sub-Unit 4 of the Narcotics Division of the Metro Jaya Police, AKP Joko Arianto explained that the arrest was made on Wednesday (1/4) early morning at around 00.30 WIB in the Rangkapan Jaya Baru area, Pancoran Mas, Depok.

"After the officers received information from the public regarding the alleged activity of narcotics distribution in the Rangkapan Jaya Baru area, Pancoran Mas, Depok," he said.

Furthermore, based on the results of the investigation, officers then arrested the alleged perpetrator HF (37) on Jalan Marthadinata and from the search results, the police found evidence in the form of marijuana with a gross weight of 6,203 grams.

Joko appealed to the people of Jakarta and its surroundings to stay away from drugs because it can damage the nation's generation and invite them to live a healthy life without drugs.

"Currently, the suspected perpetrator and the evidence have been secured at the Ditresnarkoba office of the Metro Jaya Police to undergo further examination," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, revealed that drug eradication was a shared responsibility.

"However small the information from the community, it is very useful for the police, starting from the nearest and surrounding environment so that we can all care," said Budi.

He also asked residents to immediately report potential disturbances of public security and order (kamtibmas) through the 110 National Police Call Center which is active 24 hours a day.
