Alleged Sexual Assault Case at the Jakarta Area Campus Reported to the Polda Metro Jaya

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya received a report of alleged victims of sexual violence (TPKS) crimes that occurred in the university environment located in the South Jakarta area.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, confirmed that the report was received on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 through the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) of the Metro Jaya Police by the victim with the initials A (24).

"True, we have received the report at the SPKT of the Metro Jaya Police. For handling, it has been recommended to the Ditres PPA and PPO, considering that the reported case is related to the alleged TPKS," he said.

In the report which was registered with the number: STTLP/B/2611/IV/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA on April 14, 2026 at 22.28 WIB, the reported was known as Dr. Y (48).

In the report, the victim or the reporter reported the alleged Criminal Act of Sexual Assault Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code as referred to in Article 414 of Law 1/2023 and or Articles 6b and 6c of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning TPKS.

Budi explained that every police report would be processed according to the applicable legal mechanism in a professional, objective, and transparent manner.

"Further handling of the case will be carried out based on evidence and the provisions of applicable laws and regulations," he said.

He also invited the public to remain calm, respect the ongoing process and give space for law enforcement officers to work professionally based on evidence.
