Liam Gallagher's response after Oasis entered the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction

JAKARTA - Liam Gallagher finally showed his soft side after Oasis was officially announced as part of the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.

The news marks a drastic turning point for Liam, who had previously launched a scathing criticism of the prestigious music institution based in the United States.

Through a post on his social media account, Liam expressed his gratitude to fans who had voted for Oasis.

With his distinctive style of speech - half serious and half joking - he admitted that this achievement was the realization of his childhood dream.

"I want to thank everyone who has voted for us, it's a real honor," Liam said.

"Ever since I was a kid and singing in the bathroom, I dreamed that one day I would get into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's true what they say, anything is possible if you have a dream," he continued.

Liam's friendly attitude was certainly a surprise to the public, considering that in 2024, he had called Rock Hall a "pile of nonsense" when Oasis first received a nomination but failed to be inducted.

When a fan asked about the change in his attitude, Liam tried to give an honest answer.

"Well, I just spoke to my mother last night when the news broke. She thinks I might be too hasty in judging the organization. She told me to stop being annoying, come to the awards show, be nice, and who knows I'll enjoy it," said Liam.

Furthermore, Liam confirmed that he would attend the inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place on November 14, 2026 in Los Angeles.

Not alone, he also gave a strong signal that his brother, Noel Gallagher, would join him on stage.

"Of course I will come. The two of us will go, we are very proud and humble," he concluded.

For information, Oasis will be inaugurated along with a number of other big names such as Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, to Sade.

The event is planned to be broadcast globally through the ABC channel and the Disney+ platform in December.

Oasis's entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is the highest recognition of their contribution to defining the era of Britpop and the history of world rock music.
