RHF Tanjungpinang Airport Officers Disrupt the Delivery of 691 Grams of Methamphetamine
TANJUNGPINANG - Tanjungpinang Raja Haji Fisabilillah (RHF) Airport officers, Riau Islands Province (Kepri) thwarted the delivery of methamphetamine drugs packaged in the form of a medium-sized package box.
GM of RHF Airport Mohamad Setiadi Dermawan Wakan said the incident began with the suspicion of officers of goods to be sent through the cargo terminal from Tanjungpinang to Jakarta, Tuesday, April 14.
"Our officers detected a suspicious package from the x-ray, after it was opened it turned out that the crystal meth was wrapped in a clear plastic bag," said Setiadi, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 15.
Furthermore, the methamphetamine was weighed using a digital scale with a weight of 691 grams.
From the results of the officer's check, the name of the sender Jerry was written on the box of the methamphetamine package, followed by the phone number intended for the recipient named Awaludin in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi.
Setiadi continued that the findings of this methamphetamine were immediately coordinated with the BNN and local police.
"The goods have been secured by the BNN and the police," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Airport Police, Iptu Florensia, said that the discovery of the methamphetamine package was immediately handled by the Tanjungpinang Police Narcotics Unit.
The police are also still investigating further regarding the sender of the crystal meth with the modus of filling the package of Cambodian bolu dodol cake.
"The case has been handed over to the Tanjungpinang Police Narcotics Unit," said Iptu Florensia.
