RI Partners with China to Build Platform to Develop Digital Industry Human Resources

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) has collaborated with Irootech Technology Co. Ltd. and Machinery Industry Education Development Center (MIEDC) China to build an international collaboration platform in the field of industrial digitization and artificial intelligence.

The cooperation was carried out to increase the competitiveness of the national manufacturing industry in the global arena through the integration of digital technology and strengthening the innovation ecosystem.

The Head of BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry, Doddy Rahadi, said that the rapid development of the 4.0 industrial revolution in the world today has changed the way industries operate and demands the readiness of adaptive, innovative and high-tech human resources (HR).

"This encourages the Ministry of Industry to expand cross-country collaboration, especially in the development of human resources and the placement of labor in the 4.0 industry," said Doddy in a written statement, Tuesday, April 14.

During a working visit to China some time ago, the BPSDMI team visited a number of vocational education institutions, companies and industry associations, including Irootech Technology Co. Ltd., Sany Group, Wuhan Vocational College of Software and Engineering, Guangzhou Polytechnic, and MIEDC.

The team also attended the Higher Education Institutions Industrial Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Conference and Industry-Education Integration Development Summit.

At the forum, the International Cooperation Alliance for the Development of Digitalization Talent for Industry and Artificial Intelligence was launched as a platform for collaboration between the Indonesian-Chinese industrial, educational and government sectors.

Head of the Industrial Vocational Education Development Center (PPPVI) Wulan Aprilianti Permatasari explained that the alliance aims to build an international collaboration platform in the field of industrial digitization and intelligence, strengthen integration between the world of education and industry, and increase global cooperation in producing high-quality professional talent.

"Through this alliance, the industrial sector, educational institutions, and the government of Indonesia and China will actively collaborate in building and developing superior talent ready to face global industry challenges," he explained.

He hopes that in the future, more educational institutions and industry players from both countries will be involved in the development of alliance activities.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Irootech Technology Co. Ltd. Ye Fei stated that the collaborative platform aims to develop skilled talent in the field of industrial digitization while strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of vocational education.

"We also hope to explore the implementation of vocational skills competitions and talent exchange for the WorldSkills Competition in the digital industry," he said.

The cooperation is an implementation of the MoU between the Ministry of Industry's PPPVI and Irootech Technology Co. Ltd. which was signed on September 16, 2025, regarding the development, training and placement of labor in the field of industrial digitization and artificial intelligence.

In addition to the launch of the alliance, the Ministry of Industry's BPSDMI has also carried out various programs, such as seminars, industry and education visits, and student training to increase competence and job readiness in the digital industry era.

As a unit that trains 13 vocational colleges and 9 vocational high schools, BPSDMI of the Ministry of Industry is also an opportunity for prospective students and students to join through the Industrial Vocational Admission Channel (Jarvis) Together 2026 program which can be accessed through the official website of the Ministry of Industry.
