Police Confirm Muhammad Raka Was Not Hit, But Was Hit by a Stone during a Brawl

JAKARTA - Police have confirmed that the news that a resident was hit by a patrol car during the dispersal of a brawl in South Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta, is not true.

The head of the Tebet Police, Kompol Iwan Gunawan, explained that the incident occurred on Monday evening, April 13, 2026, on Jalan Bukit Duri Selatan.

"Officers who were around the location immediately came and managed to disperse the brawl in a short time, about five minutes," said Iwan, Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

He emphasized that the information on social media that the victim was hit by a patrol vehicle was a misunderstanding.

"Based on the witness's statement, the victim was allegedly hit by a stone thrown during a brawl, then fell near the patrol vehicle," he explained.

The situation was heated because residents threw stones at the service vehicle until it was damaged.

The victim, named Muhammad Raka Al Bakri, has been taken to Tebet Hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the victim's father, Saiful B, said his son was a victim while passing after work.

"My son came home from work and passed by when there was a commotion. He was hit by a hard object on the face, right on the nose," he said.

The police appealed to the public not to be easily provoked by unverified information and to maintain the kamtibmas situation.
