Police Officer Allegedly Involved in the Uncovering of a Narcotics Factory in Semarang

JAKARTA - A member of the National Police is suspected of being involved in a network of circulation of Zenith type narcotics. The individual is known as Bharaka PMDA.

Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Budi Hermanto, confirmed the involvement of the member. However, his role is still being investigated.

"Yes, and the role of the servant is still being investigated. Please give me time," said Budi, Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

The name of Bharaka PMDA previously surfaced in the disclosure of the Zenith type narcotics factory in Semarang. He is one of the suspects who were secured in the series of raids.

This case began with a report from the community in West Jakarta regarding the rampant circulation of dangerous drugs. The police then arrested a man with the initials P in the Penjaringan area, North Jakarta, with 120,000 Zenith evidence.

From the results of the examination, P was known to have a role as a courier. The police then developed the investigation and identified the figure with the initials D as the main controller from outside the city.

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, the team moved to Semarang and arrested D at his residence in the Mijen area.

In addition to arresting the perpetrator, the police also revealed a warehouse that was used as a Zenith manufacturing factory. From the location, 186,000 pieces of ready-to-use Zenith and 1.83 tons of precursor raw materials were seized.

The police also seized an automatic printing machine and a number of production equipment.

"This disclosure thwarted the circulation of more than 4.3 million Zenith bullets, which means saving millions of lives," said Budi.

Currently, the suspects have been secured and charged with Article 610 paragraph (2) and Article 609 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2023 in conjunction with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The police are still hunting for other perpetrators who are on the wanted list (DPO).
