His community is called the Customs Case Witness, Asep Guntur Please Check to Cianjur

JAKARTA - Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Asep Guntur Rahayu said that the social community he founded, Bagong Mogok, is a non-profit organization. His activities are also ensured to be self-help without asking for help from other parties.

This was conveyed by Asep in response to the statement of a witness in the case of bribery and gratification of the import of goods at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Faisal Assegaf, which offended the Bagong Mogok community.

"The Bagong Mogok social community, indeed I am one of the founders or founders. This is a non-profit organization that engages in social activities and I do not serve as a manager in the community," Asep told reporters, Tuesday, April 14.

Asep explained that Bagong Mogok was established since 2015 and is engaged in humanitarian work, such as helping disaster victims, bridges to building uninhabitable houses. Its budget comes from donors, the surrounding community and the funds of members

"From anyone (the budget, ed). Sometimes we make up," he said.

In addition, this community also established Warung Bagong Mogok as a secretariat or gathering place for its members since 2018. "If there is any profit, we use it for social activities. But most of them are nombok," said Asep, who had served as the Director of Investigation.

"For those interested, please look for information on social media or come directly to Cianjur to help our brothers and sisters in need through social activities with the Bagong Mogok Social Community," he continued.

Faizal Assegaf mentioned the community that Asep founded when he visited the Polda Metro Jaya and reported the KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo for allegedly spreading false news.

He did not accept it if it was said to be related to the case of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise because he received personal assistance from one of the suspects in this case, namely Rizal as the Director of Enforcement and Investigation of DJBC. The receipt was made by a number of his friends who he called activists.

"This is a personal relationship between Brother Rizal and them. As the President's personal assistance to anyone, the National Police's assistance to anyone. Even the KPK investigator, Asep also has a mass organization, Bagong. Join the establishment of a mass organization, involved in social activities," he told reporters at the Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, April 14.

Faisal also claimed to have provided an explanation to the investigators regarding the receipt. "I have answered the substance of the question, klir, there is no involvement of friends who receive this assistance in the case of customs and excise crimes," he said.
