Dee Lestari Presents Heartwarming Lyrics in Kabarku Single

JAKARTA - Love and all its dynamics are still a source of inspiration for artists. Even though millions of love songs have come to the world, there is always a fresh perspective, a unique way of speaking, which makes love songs always needed.

Singer and writer Dee Lestari is also not running out of points of view about love. This is expressed in Dee's latest song titled Kabarku, which follows (Don't) Fall in Love and Paper Boat.

This song describes the feelings of someone who secretly hopes, then the person of his heart chooses someone else. The lyrics amplify the feeling of collapse when he asks for news easily.

"What's up with you?" Our world just collapsed because of his announcement. However, we can only swallow and say, "Good news." Although it's not really. We're not okay.

The story that many people feel is sung through beautiful melodies and spoken in poetic lyrics that are clear and typical of Dee Lestari, "Kabarku" becomes a memorable and relatable song. This time, Dee Lestari collaborated with Fellow Amateurs, consisting of four young producers: Mikha Angelo, Josua Gian, Geddi Jaddi Membummi, and Nathania S. Alexandra.

Dee's collaboration with Mikha Angelo has happened before. They duet in the song "Before You" which is the Book Soundtrack Rapijali. Dee and Fellow Amateurs have also collaborated on the song "One Step" performed by Maudy Ayunda in her latest album Pada Suatu Hari.

For "Kabarku", Mikha Angelo and Fellow Amateurs present a soulful, modern arrangement, and manage to wrap "Kabarku" into a single story that pierces the heart. Beautiful visual expressions are also featured in the "Kabarku" lyric video, which was produced by Anthono Congor and Arie Dagienkz.

"Kabarku" again became a testament to Dee Lestari's consistency in creating quality songs as well as his commitment to returning to the music world after a long time not singing solo. "Kabarku" was released simultaneously on various streaming platforms along with the lyric video. This song will be part of Dee Lestari's solo album which is planned to be released in mid-2026.
