This bloody incident occurred on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at a private SMP in Siak. The incident began when the victim and his colleagues were working on a science assignment to make a teaching aid.
However, the device they created resembled a gun and was suspected of using a mechanism that triggered an explosion.
When the victim took the initiative to conduct a self-test at school before handing it over to the teacher, the device exploded and hit the head, resulting in the victim's death.
Based on the information collected, the device has actually been tested several times at home and works normally.
The initial plan to hand over the task on April 8 was delayed because the accompanying teacher was on duty supervising the Academic Ability Test (TKA) at another school.
The accident, the victim's initiative to conduct a final trial in the school environment, ended in death, which is now a serious concern for national child protection authorities.
