The Thief In Underpants In Bungo Jambi Caught On CCTV Captured By The Spartan Team

JAMBI - The Bungo Police Satreskrim Spartan team arrested the theft perpetrator with the initials EDN (24) a resident of Rambah Hamlet, Tanah Grow District, Bungo Regency, Jambi.

The EDN perpetrator was arrested by the Spartan Team while in Lubuk Village, Bathin III District, Bungo Regency, on Friday, June 4.

Previously, the police received a report from a victim of theft at a shophouse on Jalan Saleh Somad, Jaya Setia Village, Pasar District.

The chronology of the incident is known, when the victim's child wanted to take the laptop on the living room table, but after searching it was not found. Then the CCTV footage was checked and it was discovered that a man wearing only unidentified underpants entered the house.

After checking, the missing item was a Lenovo brand laptop, including around Rp. 2.6 million. There were also traces of prying into the window behind the 3rd floor of the victim's shophouse.

The victim reported the theft to the Bungo Police Headquarters for follow-up. Bungo Police Chief AKB Mokhamad Lutfi through the Bungo Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Bagus Faria said his party had arrested a young man who had been involved in the crime of theft by weight.

From the preliminary examination, the perpetrator admitted that he had committed other crimes, such as in several sub-districts in Bungo Regency. The police will carry out further investigations and developments.

From the hands of the perpetrators, evidence was secured in the form of 1 (one) black Lenovo brand laptop.

"The perpetrator is charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code, with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 7 years," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, quoted from the Jambi Regional Police's statement through the Police Public Relations Division, Sunday, June 6.
