Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Attend Netflix Boss's Party Amid Uncivil Gossip

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appeared together at a private party for Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos in Montecito, California, on April 10. The appearance was in the spotlight because it occurred amid issues about the Sussex couple's relationship with Netflix.

According to People, quoted Monday, April 13, Meghan and Harry attended the Beef Season 2 Montecito Tastemaker event held at the home of Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant. The two looked smiling and took a photo with the host.

Meghan, 44, wore a pale green "Gale" dress by Heidi Merrick with Jimmy Choo strappy shoes. Harry, 41, wore a dark blue suit and a white shirt.

The event was also attended by a number of big names, including Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, and Lionel Boyce. In several photos, Meghan is seen holding hands and hugging Nicole Avant.

The appearance of the couple came after Variety on March 17 reported tensions between Meghan-Harry and Netflix. The claim was later denied by the Sussex and Netflix parties.

In a letter to Variety, the couple's lawyer, Michael J. Kump, stated that Meghan regularly sent messages and spoke with Ted Sarandos, and had even come to his house. Meanwhile, Netflix's Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria also denied the rumors.

During the Next on Netflix event on March 18, Bajaria asked the public not to immediately believe everything they read. He said Netflix still has a working relationship with Meghan and Harry, and their projects in the film and television fields are still in development.

Days after Variety's report, Meghan and Harry announced they would be co-producing a polo-themed drama series through Archewell Productions. People also wrote that the project would take place in Wellington, Florida, and would tell the story of the rivalry between two polo teams and the families behind them.

The series is believed to have been inspired by POLO, a Netflix documentary that aired in December 2024 with a not-too-strong rating. Even so, last year Netflix still extended a multi-year partnership with Meghan and Harry for other film and television projects, including The Wedding Date and Meet Me at the Lake.
