inDrive Enters Top 4 Global Travel Apps, Indonesian Users Grow by Two Digit

JAKARTA - inDrive has recorded positive performance amid the tight competition in the global digital transportation industry.

Based on Sensor Tower's report, this ride-hailing platform managed to maintain its position as the second most downloaded app in the world for four consecutive years.

Not only that, inDrive also rose to the fourth most downloaded travel app globally in 2026, from fifth place the previous year.

This performance was also supported by double-digit user growth in Indonesia compared to 2025.

The increase reflects the trend of increasing demand for application-based transportation services that offer price transparency and flexibility for users.

Since its launch, inDrive has recorded more than 400 million downloads and operates in more than 1,000 cities in 48 countries. The price negotiation-based business model between drivers and passengers is considered to be the main differentiation in the midst of market competition.

InDrive Indonesia Country Manager, Rio Aristo said, this achievement reflects the increasing user confidence.

"This achievement is proof of user trust in inDrive, including in Indonesia. We are committed to providing fair and transparent services," he said.

Throughout 2025, inDrive expanded its business line by providing intercity services, couriers, delivery of basic goods, and financial services.

This step is part of the transformation strategy towards a super app.

The use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics is also a driving force for improving user experience, including the accuracy of travel estimates and personalization of services.

Sensor Tower's report shows the trend of super apps becoming the growth engine of the ride-hailing industry, especially in emerging markets such as Indonesia.
