IKN Authority: Police Office Built on 3.24 Hectare Land
PPU - The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority said that the new capital city's Police Headquarters (Polresta) support office area was located in part of the North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, which would be immediately built on land of around 3.24 hectares.
"The construction of the IKN Police through comprehensive planning and measurable implementation," said the Head of the IKN Authority Basuki Hadimuljono in Penajam Paser Utara, Antara, Monday, April 13.
"All instructions for the development of the IKN Police must be one order, one command, namely from the IKN Authority, the planning is checked first, traced, if necessary calculated," he said.
The IKN Authority always ensures that all stages of development in the new capital of the Republic of Indonesia are carried out in a directed, integrated, and in line with the planned.
With an area of about 3.24 hectares, he said, the construction of the supporting office area of the Police included a number of major facilities, including the main building, mosque, ceremony field, retention pond, and sports facilities.
The main building is designed as a center of activity with a six-story main building equipped with a roof floor and three floors below, supported by various operational spaces, such as office spaces, meeting rooms, and other operational support facilities for the police.
Then the architectural design has also been adjusted by integrating various supporting facilities, such as mosques, pedestrian paths, and an amphitheater function that is combined as a tribune for sports facilities.
"Currently, the initial phase of work has begun through the process of opening and clearing land (land clearing) for the construction site," he said, with a target of completing the entire first phase by the end of 2027.
The construction of the IKN Police Support Office was also accompanied by the arrangement of the area and the provision of land in a planned manner to support the smooth development of police facilities in the new capital of Indonesia.
"The IKN Police are prepared to support public services, including security services for the people in the new capital city of Indonesia," said Basuki Hadimuljono.
