New Found Glory's Turn to Back Out of Hammersonic 2026 Lineup

JAKARTA - The American alternative rock band, New Found Glory (NFG), has confirmed that they will withdraw from the Hammersonic Festival 2026 lineup, which will be held at NICE PIK 2 on May 2 and 3.

This certainty was known after Jordan Pundik et al., through the band's official social media account, announced that they could not perform in the event promoted by Ravel Entertainment.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that, due to circumstances beyond our control, New Found Glory unfortunately cannot perform at Hammersonic 2026 in Jakarta this May," read a statement from New Found Glory in the uploaded statement.

"This is not an easy decision, and we are very disappointed that they cannot share this moment with NFG fans in Indonesia," he continued.

Although it did not reveal the problems they faced, NFG said their cancellation of their appearance in Indonesia was not related to the promoter's performance.

"We want to stress that this cancellation is not related to the festival or the promoter. The Hammersonic team is amazing, and we appreciate their support during this process," said NFG.

"To everyone who plans to watch the show, we are really sorry. Indonesia means a lot to us, and we are doing everything we can to find a way to come back and see you as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued understanding and support," he concluded.

NFG is not the only lineup to pull out of Hammersonic 2026.

Previously, My Chemical Romance was also announced to withdraw from the Hammersonic lineup this year. However, Gerard Way et al will still perform in Indonesia through a solo performance.
