Russia: The Palestinian Issue at the Core of the Middle East Crisis
JAKARTA - The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the international community not to ignore the Palestinian issue amid the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said ignoring the "core issue" and replacing it with a temporary solution or delaying its resolution would trigger a continued cycle of violence and confrontation.
As reported by ANTARA from WAFA, Saturday, April 11, Zakharova stressed that the Palestinian issue is the "core of the Middle East crisis" and warned against being marginalized by current political and military dynamics.
According to him, setting aside the issue from the regional agenda risks causing long-term destabilization with global impacts.
Zakharova also highlighted the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which she said undermined efforts to reach a two-state solution.
He again urged the international community to prioritize resolving the Palestinian issue and strengthen cooperation.
Russia, he said, will continue to push for a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict.
