Millie Bobby Brown Out of Kerri Strug Biopic, Production Failed

JAKARTA - Actress Millie Bobby Brown has dropped out of the biopic project of gymnast Kerri Strug. As a result, the project also failed to be produced because it was left without its main cast.

Citing Deadline, the 22-year-old actress chose to quit the Netflix-produced film Perfect. Reportedly, Brown quit because of creative differences with the producers.

Initially, Gia Coppola was appointed as the director before being transferred to Cate Shortland. John P. Lopez and Ronnie Sandahl were also said to be the writers of the script.

The film Perfect will tell the story of gymnast Kerri Strug who tries to face her injury to fight in the 1996 Olympics. Strug's performance despite being injured became one of the iconic performances in the world of gymnastics.

Neither Netflix nor Millie Bobby Brown have responded to this news.

Millie Bobby Brown herself is busy with various films ranging from Enola Holmes 3 which will be released this year and Just Picture It with Gabriel LaBelle.

Brown will also star in the film Nineteen Steps, which is adapted from Brown's novel and published in 2023.

In addition, Millie Bobby Brown also welcomed her first child through adoption in 2025 with her husband, Jake Bongiovi.
