Caught by the KPK OTT, the Regent of Gatut Sunu Baru Appointed the Head of the PPDI Tulungagung
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a hand-in-hand operation (OTT) on Friday evening, April 10. The Bupati of Tulungagung, Gatut Sunu Wibowo, who was caught, had just appointed the administrator of the Indonesian Village Device Association (PPDI) at the sub-district level on Thursday, April 9.
Reported from a number of reports, Gatut Sunu even once said that the village apparatus was the main pulse of public services. This event was held at the Pendopo Kongas Arum Kusumaning Bongso, Tulungagung.
"This inauguration should not be just a ceremony. PPDI must be a space for capacity building. I ask you all to work professionally, administratively orderly, and most importantly, to be technologically literate. The challenges of the village are now different," he said at the inauguration.
Information about Gatut Sunu being caught in a silent operation was confirmed by Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto. This was conveyed while confirming that there were enforcement activities in Tulungagung.
"Yes. Yes (he was arrested, ed)," said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters when confirmed, quoted Saturday, April 11.
Fitroh has not detailed who was arrested in the silent operation. The same goes for the process in the field.
Currently, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the suspects after the OTT is held. The process will begin with a request for information from the secured party, the title of the case or exposure at the level of the deputy director of enforcement and the leadership will then be officially announced through a press conference.
For information, the last anti-corruption commission held a silent operation on March 3. The Regent of Pekalongan Fadia Arafiq was then named a suspect and was removed from his post.
He was named a suspect because he allegedly arranged PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (PT RNB) to monopoli the outsourcing service project in 17 regional units, 3 RSUD, and 1 sub-district in Pekalongan Regency.
Fadia is suspected of violating Article 12 letter i and Article 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code regarding conflicts of interest and abuse of authority in the procurement of goods and services.
