Minister of Finance Purbaya: Additional Rp11.3 Trillion Can Fill the Deficit and Turn on Again the Program that was Cut Off

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the additional state revenue of Rp. 11.3 trillion from the results of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (PKH) could be used to improve the budget position, including closing part of the deficit and reviving development programs that had been cut.

"Yes. Or we can use it for maybe most of the development programs that were cut yesterday," said Purbaya at the Attorney General's Office, Friday, April 10.

According to Purbaya, the revenue is basically in the PNBP category or non-tax state revenue, although there is a possibility that a small portion comes from taxes. What is clear is that the additional state money has now increased again.

He said the funds could be allocated for various needs, ranging from support to the prosecutor's office, schools, to a portion for the LPDP. However, he emphasized that the process was not complete and there was still the potential for additional funds in the future.

"What is clear is that my money is more than before," he said.

Purbaya also does not want to include the amount of income from the PKH Task Force in the official calculation of the state budget this year. The reason is that the final target is not clear enough to be recorded as a definite position. However, he said that the addition from PKH as a windfall or a windfall for the government that makes the budget stronger.

"There is no target that is too clear in the sense that I can put it into the state budget, not yet. But if there is additional income from PKH, it will be like a windfall profit for the government that makes our budget better and more resistant," he said.

He added that from the ongoing track, there is still potential for additional revenue. Purbaya said that cases such as under invoicing or reporting the value of transactions below the actual value also still have the potential to provide additional income for the country.
