COVID-19 Sufferers In Kudus Are Asked To Undergo Isolation In A Special Place

KUDUS - Head of the Central Java Health Service, Yulianto Prabowo, emphasized that COVID-19 sufferers with mild or asymptomatic symptoms in Kudus Regency were asked to undergo isolation in a special quarantine place. The goal is to prevent the spread of the virus from spreading.

"This problem of self-isolation must be corrected. All residents undergoing isolation at home will be pulled to a special and centralized isolation place such as the Haji Donohudan Dormitory, Ngemplak District, Boyolali," he said in Kudus, quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 6.

He reminded the importance of people with COVID-19 undergoing isolation in a separate place from other family members.

Patients with COVID-19 who do not have their own place for self-isolation, are asked to take advantage of the centralized quarantine facilities provided by the government. The goal is to reduce the risk of transmitting the corona virus to family members and those around them.

The Central Java Provincial Government has prepared centralized isolation facilities at the Haji Donohudan Boyolali Dormitory which can accommodate 800 people and the campus in Semarang which can accommodate around 350 people.

"Today, preparations have been made, starting from officers and personnel for evacuation. Because there are already 109 people in the Haji Donohudan Dormitory who are in isolation, the isolation participants from Kudus can accommodate 700 people," said Yulianto

Kodam IV/Diponegoro and the Central Java Regional Police have prepared about 30 vehicles to move COVID-19 sufferers who need isolation facilities in Kudus.

A coordination meeting was held to discuss the technical transfer of around 300 COVID-19 patients who will require isolation facilities to Boyolali on Sunday.

If there are more COVID-19 sufferers in Kudus who need isolation facilities, the government will increase the number of doctors, nurses, nutrition workers, environmental health workers, and security officers who are on standby for 24 hours in isolation facilities.

Yulianto said COVID-19 sufferers in Kudus could undergo self-isolation in facilities provided by the provincial and district governments.

According to the explanation of the Regent of Kudus Hartopo, the district government provides self-isolation facilities in flats. Self-isolation places are also provided in villages.

"It's just that the capacity is small, unlike that provided by the Central Java Provincial Government," he said.

He said COVID-19 sufferers in Kudus who were self-isolating at home would immediately be evacuated to the Haji Donohudan Dormitory, which has more complete supporting facilities.

According to him, there are around 1,000 COVID-19 sufferers who are still undergoing self-isolation in Kudus.

"Because the capacity in Donohudan currently remains at 700, so the rest is optimized in Kudus because it still exists," he said.
