Sudinhub Jaksel apologizes for manipulating photos of follow-up to JAKI complaints, district officials sanctioned
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Transportation Office has apologized for the controversy over the alleged discrepancy in documentation in handling public complaints through the Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application.
This case came to light after a report circulated on social media highlighting the time difference in taking photos (timestamp) in the follow-up report of the complaint, thus creating a negative perception in the community.
Head of the South Jakarta Transportation Office Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu admitted that there were shortcomings in the administrative process of reporting.
"We apologize for this incident. This is a lesson for us to continue to improve accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in every process of handling and reporting public complaints," said Bernad, Friday, April 10.
As a follow-up, Sudinhub South Jakarta has imposed sanctions on the ranks involved. A stern reprimand was given in the form of a Warning Letter to the Head of the Mampang Prapatan District Transportation Implementation Unit and related staff.
This step was taken to ensure that similar incidents do not recur, as well as strengthen discipline in the reporting process.
On the other hand, Bernad explained that the location that has been reported so far is a vulnerable point for violations, ranging from illegal parking to the activities of street vendors (PKL).
The order in the area, he said, had been carried out routinely through various operations, such as transporting nets, removing pentil operations (OCP), to integrated enforcement with the TNI and Polri.
In the complaint handling system through JAKI, the follow-up process is carried out in stages from the Provincial Government level to the implementing unit in the sub-district which goes directly to the field.
Bernad emphasized that this controversy is an important note to improve the internal supervision system to be more accountable.
"In the future, we are committed to continuing to improve supervision and ensure that field enforcement is carried out responsibly in accordance with applicable rules, consistently and sustainably, so that every public complaint can be handled quickly, accurately, and accountable," he said.
He also invited the public to play a role in maintaining order, especially in terms of parking and traffic, so that conditions on the ground can be more orderly and not continue to recur.
