Replace Anwar Usman as New Constitutional Court Judge, Liliek Prisbawono Promises to Guard the Constitution

Liliek Prisbawono Adi was officially inaugurated as a Constitutional Court (MK) judge by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Friday, April 10.

The MK judge from the Supreme Court (MA) element was inaugurated to replace Anwar Usman who had entered retirement after 15 years of service.

"Today I have been inaugurated as a constitutional judge to replace the honorable Prof. Dr. Anwar Usman," Liliek told reporters after the inauguration at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, April 10.

Liliek said that his appointment as a Supreme Court Justice was a great pride and responsibility. Currently, he admitted that there was no special task given to him other than carrying out constitutional duties.

"Specifically, there is no special task that has been conveyed to me," he said.

Although he did not elaborate on the detailed vision, Liliek promised to monitor and protect the constitution in the spotlight at the Constitutional Court. "Of course, the first thing is to monitor the Indonesian constitution," he said.
