Woman Dealer of Etomidate Was Arrested by Metro Police Reserse in Front of Bassura Mall Jaktim
JAKARTA - The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police arrested a woman with the initials E (37) who distributed the narcotic type etomidate, which was packaged in 1,409 pieces of liquid cartridge vape in the East Jakarta (Jaktim) area.
"Securing a woman with the initials E (37) on Wednesday (8/4), around 15.50 WIB, in the Bassura Apartment area, East Jakarta," said Head of Unit 5 Subdit 3 Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Ade Candra in his statement in Jakarta, Friday.
He explained that the arrest began with information from the community regarding the circulation of narcotics around the location.
Following up on the report, Unit 5 Subdit 3 Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya immediately conducted an investigation and secured the suspect at two locations, namely in front of the Bassura Mall and in the apartment room where the suspect lived.
"From the results of the search, officers found evidence in the form of a liquid cartridge vape containing etomidate with a total of 1,409 pcs, consisting of various brands or logos," said Ade.
In addition, he said, a number of other evidence was also secured, namely automatic press tools, empty plastic, and three mobile phones that were suspected of being used for circulation activities.
"For further investigation, the suspect and the evidence were taken to the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police to conduct further examination," said Ade.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, emphasized that eradicating drugs is a shared responsibility.
"However small the information from the community, it is very useful for the police, starting from the nearest and surrounding environment so that we can all care," said Budi.
He also asked the public to immediately report potential disturbances of public security and order (kamtibmas) through the 110 National Police Call Center which is active 24 hours a day.
