Young Entrepreneurs Asked to Be the Main Actors to Realize Asta Cita

JAKARTA - Deputy General Treasurer of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), Ade Jona Prasetyo, officially took the registration form for the candidate for the 2026-2029 period general chairman (ketum) on Friday, April 10.

This step is an early signal of the struggle for the leadership seat ahead of the XVIII Hipmi National Congress (Munas) which is scheduled to take place in June 2026.

Jona emphasized that his candidacy was not merely a succession of organizations, but was part of an effort to strengthen the role of young entrepreneurs in the national economic agenda, including supporting Prabowo Subianto's vision through the Asta Cita program towards Golden Indonesia 2045.

"Young entrepreneurs must be the main actors on the Asta Cita stage," he said.

He highlighted the importance of transforming Hipmi into a youth economic power that is connected and capitalized, especially in the face of digital economic opportunities and global markets.

According to Jona, Hipmi must play a role beyond just an organization, but become a platform that encourages business turnover, access to financing, and collaboration among members.

In the midst of the dominance of MSMEs in the body of Hipmi, he also targeted a contribution to the government's 8% economic growth ambition.

"Hipmi must be more relevant and productive, and have a real impact on MSMEs," he said.
