IKN as the Political Capital, the Vice President invites DPR Members to have an Office in Sana

JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka appreciates the input from members of the DPR to have an office in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), and invites the executive, judicial and legislative elements to also have an office there.

"Thank you for the input from the Honorable Member of the Board, Dedy Sitorus. Later we will both work at the IKN," said Vice President Gibran, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 9.

"Because IKN has been designated as the political capital in 2028. So that the implementation of the state from the executive, judicial and legislative sides must be fulfilled," said the Vice President.

Previously, in a meeting with the Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono on Monday (30/3), member of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives Deddy Sitorus had touched on the discourse of Vice President Gibran to have an office in IKN.

Deddy made this statement while emphasizing the importance of utilizing the buildings that have been built at IKN. He asked the Head of OIKN Basuki to discuss this with President Prabowo Subianto.

"I've asked for it for a long time. Vice President, Minister of Forestry, Minister of Villages, Minister of Transmigration there, come on, stay. That money is a commodity," he said.

In response to this, the Head of the OIKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, said that Vice President Gibran could have an office at IKN starting this year because the building and supporting facilities had been completed.

According to Basuki, preparations have also been made by a number of staff of the Vice President who are there.

Basuki hopes that the Vice President's plan to have an office at IKN can be realized soon.

"If I am, my house is now there, yes. So I hope it happens, there will be him really going to have an office there. My hope," said Basuki.
